Maddy & Taylor! We’re Anytime’s Co-Founders. We met on Maddy’s first day of college in an Intro to Environmental Studies class (a real sign of things to come). We bonded over a shared penchant for cooking, a love of agriculture and a passion for dive bars. Fast forward to spring 2020 and we were roommates in Brooklyn, both working in sustainability and supply chain. Stuck at home–unable to visit any of those dive bars–we turned our living room into a makeshift distillery, trying (and failing) to make homemade Campari. Instead we started infusing herbs and botanicals with fresh fruit juices, and thinking about the connection between the farmers we know and the cocktails we love…and Anytime was born.

A whole lot! Our vodka is 100% single origin wheat vodka. This is important because wheat is essential to sustainable farming. It’s a key ingredient in regenerative crop rotations: a system that allows soil to rest between harvests. Growing wheat this way allows the soil to pull greenhouse gasses out of the atmosphere–helping to reverse the effects of climate change.

Our friends at the National Celiac Association said it best: “Distilled alcohol, even if it is made from a gluten-containing grain, such as wheat, is considered gluten-free. This is because if an alcohol is distilled, proteins from the starting materials that provided the starch or sugar are removed in the distillation process.”

In order to change the food system, we need to put farmers front and center. So, they’re at the heart of our business model. We started Anytime by listening to farmers and crafting recipes with them. Our flavors are based on ingredients that are better for you, and better for the planet

Most alcoholic beverages don’t–which made it all the more important to us. Part of that is by design: the alcohol industry is still run with Prohibition Era laws that require next to no ingredient labeling. But we have nothing to hide! And we are supportive of consumer groups who have started petitioning the TTB to mandate transparent labeling for alcohol in the same way we expect it from other products.

Diane Keaton (Kitten) is Chief Kitten Officer. DK (as she’s known around here) is our bi-coastal cat who exclusively wears beige tones. When Taylor isn’t thinking about wheat, she’s playing with Diane, and Maddy’s been known to sneak her a treat or two off the cutting board at dinnertime.
